Document Navigator Appearance

Hi,

this question is about the way headings in the navigator are displayed, not about the actual style of the headings: per default, the navigator will show headings and subheadings with the corresponding numbering and a quite large indentation, including symbolic horizontal and vertical lines illustrating the document structure. I find that the indentation in this display is quite large, therefore the navigator panel has to be resized to a considerable width to be able to read subheadings. Especially on smaller laptop displays, this is a waste of space imho. Is there any way to change this appearance?

The indentation is not that large unless you manually indented your headings with spaces instead of customizing the Heading n paragraph styles.

Please attach a sample file to your question (edit it with the pencil icon and use the “upload” tool) so that I see the problem and its cause.
