Does anyone know why a macro would be disabled, even though I had not knowingly done anything? Other macros in other spreadsheets still work.

Version 7.1.3.2 x64, Windows 10. I’ve tried changing permissions to no prompt, but it still won’t work.

Other macros in other spreadsheets…

this must be extended to “Other macros in other spreadsheets in other directories

This seems to mean MacroSecurity = Low. Never use this setting. Too dangerous!

Did you inspect the macro library contained in the document no longer working?
Anything suspicious?

Hello,

all of that depends on Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Security -> Button: Macro Security...

Default is: [o] High. Only signed macros from trusted sources....

Hence you need to define “trusted sources…” on tab: Trusted Sources in pane “Trusted File Locations” listing directories, which are trusted, if there are files containing macros within that directory. Use Add button to add additional directories, which you trust (more precisely: which you want LibreOffice application to trust, if LibreOffice opens a file from that directory).

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. Sadly, the setting is ‘medium’ so I get prompted before opening sheets containing macros. This is what happened every time I used the worksheet, till yesterday when it suddenly just opened without prompting, and the macro buttons won’t work.
Other sheets with similar macros still prompt me and work fine. Odd.

even though I had not knowingly done anything …

…and then this was not a correct information because default is High

I’m sorry, and please excuse my ignorance, but in Macro Security, the setting is on Medium, not default, so I can run macros by this forum’s esteemed StepOne. The other macros that still work are in spreadsheets in the same directory, but different files.
