I know there were issues with previous versions of LibreOffice. Have they been corrected?
I don’t necessarily need full command, just simple dictation.
Thanks in advance!

I have used DNS 12.5 with Writer 4.2 and 4.3 and very recently DNS 13 Premium with Writer 4.3.
They are not fully compatible, even though DNS 13 has been updated to be compatible with OpenOffice.
Simple dictation will work some of the time. With DNS 12.5 I often found that after a short while DNS would often start writing rubbish - there then appears to develop a gross failure in what DNS “heard”. Attempts to select text for correction by voice generally failed; in 12.5 the wrong text (not even a sound match) somewhere else was selected and in 13 nothing happens. DNS 13 also alters paragraph formatting - very wierd. There is no voice control of Writer with either 12.5 or 13.
The best option is probably to use the dictation box.
Thanks for reporting back your experience. Always good to obtain information on what works and what does not.
I used Dragon constantly - arthritis hands - and use LO always. I find the Dragon Pad somewhat more useful and the Dictation Box also works.
Thanks, oweng! The link you provided really helped. I can confirm that Dragon NaturallySpeaking does work with Writer 4.2.
I went ahead and took the plunge – Amazon had NaturallySpeaking version 12 on sale. It is in fact compatible.
Thanks again!
