Considering all the work that has gone into creating equivalent/superior and compatible software with Microsoft Office, I was wondering if LibreOffice also has a substitute for Microsoft Project? I’ve seen others use a spreadsheet to create gantt chart’s to represent and track a project schedule, but this can be very cumbersome and challenging, and requires advanced familiarity with the spreadsheet software. If there is no LibreOffice equivalent to Microsoft Project then I’d be interested in any other suggestions.
LibO does not have a project management SW like MS Project. You can search the web for alternatives. I am using occasionally http://projectlibre.org/ . However, it does not yet have the level of MS Project.

All indications on that web site tell me the software is nonfree/proprietary.
Distributing free software for a fee is encouraged, but the site doesn’t appear to be doing that.
There is nothing free about this product. Your comment is misleading.
