Doesn't print as shown on the screen

I had to reset my computer
I’m trying to restore my printing using calc as white lettering, black background.
It is now printing black on black, but showing on calc as white lettering on black background.

Thanks

Can you explain what you expect to see on your printed sheet?

  1. White printing on black background?
  2. Black printing on white background?

What do you expect to see on screen? 1 or 2?

Is your screen showing what you expect to see?

Most importantly, what LibreOffice version and operating system version? You can click Help - About LibreOffice, in the dialogue that opens, click the icon with tooltip Copy details to copy the details and then paste into your question or into a comment if you can’t edit your question.

Is your screen showing what you expect to see?
yes

My printer is what is not following what I see.
It is printing the bottom picture.

After the reset I am getting the bottom picture.

I should mention that the print preview in Libreoffice looks as the top picture
The print preview for the printer before printing follow the bottom picture.

I do need to mention that I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and LibreOffice and it did not fix the issue.

Thanks for your help

I should have asked if you had Dark Mode on. Never mind. If you have reset the computer then maybe you reset LibreOffice too? You could install one of the preset light themes in Tools - Options - LibreOffice - Appearance, allow LibreOffice to restart to make sure that what you see on screen is what you would see in print.

Is Print text in black ticked on either the LibreOffice print dialogue (LibreOffice tab), or more likely in the printer driver dialogue (Properties button)?

I guess you have a laser printer so print text in black might be a default setting

Thanks @EarnestAl for all your help that you have given me

I used 24.8 before the reset of window 10.

I may need to uninstall 25.2 and reinstall 24.8 to have my answer to my initial question with the 2 and zero

Solution: Before reset 24.8
After reset 25.2
Today - After reinstall of 24.8, the problem no longer exists.

The bug exists with 25.2 and the print feature.

Thanks with your help @EarnestAl

I don’t see the problem on my Windows 11 computer with my inkjet printers but that is not to say that there isn’t a bug. See How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki
