Double "Ghost" cursor appearing

Since upgrading to a new PC and upgrading LibreOffice I’ve noticed that often when working in Writer a second “ghost” typing cursor appears randomly.

It appears to just be the image simply hasn’t deleted from when the actual cursor was there, but it’s annoying as it can confuse me when I am working.

So, for example, I will be typing and a cursor will appear here|, when the real cursor is here|

Has anyone else spotted this bug and is there a way to stop it?

Turn off Edit > Direct cursor mode menu.

Test with/out Skia.

No, it’s not the mouse cursor, but the typing cursor, so the Direct Cursor mode isn’t the issue.

Have you tried changing Skia as suggested by @LeroyG?
