Download on MAC blocked

Dear all -

I am trying to download LibreOffice on my MAC (MacBook Air) and it blocks by saying that it should be downloaded from the app store, as this is in my security settings. I disabled this security setting - changing it to ‘anywhere’ - but still it gives me the same notification.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

To be sure: You tried to download a .dmg file from libreoffice.org into your Download folder? -or did you try to download to your Applications folder?
