Downloaded the program on six month old HP notebook. No problem with the download, however, when any attempt is made to save a file in writer, when “save” is clicked (and even saved as various file types), cannot save, and an error code states “file not found”. Tried reinstalling, same thing happened. I tried Apache as well, and exact same thing happens.
Was in Writer, my file, tried to save in the program format, in docx.
Please expand. What kind of “file” are you trying to save in Writer? Is it a text document that you prepared in Writer, or someone else’s document that you have opened in Writer? Or something else?
OK, are you using Windows 10? There is a sudden flood of reported problems between Win 10 and LO, including that Windows does not recognize many (any?) of the ODF file formats. I am not a Win 10 user so cannot help you in this case. Hopefully, someone else will be able to. I am sure it is frustrating and troublesome.
