I have the project setup to 6"x9" in draw.
I drag and drop images that are 6.125" x 9.25" onto the page, the program automatically changes them to 5.96″ x 9.00″ - how do I change that?

Are you trying to get bleed for printing? You could try this template for crop marks in extensions, Crop mark » Extensions
I think drag and drop always reduces to page margins. After dropping, right click and select Original size
