Editing a form higher than the monitor, whenever I do something lower down it jumps to the top. Every time I have to scroll down, select an item, scroll down, move the item . . . . . . . .
How to stop this behavior and keep the form staying where I work?
Libreoffice 24.2.7.2
Create a sequence for your fields and change with tab key to the next, if necessary.
Most forms are created with fields, which are anchored to paragraph. There is only one paragraph on the whole page at top of the page. So if you click on the background the cursor will move to the top of the page.
.
If you are editing a form, not input data: Set a return in the form. Set spacing above the paragraph to, for example, 15 cm. Clicking on the background will move cursor to this paragraph. And: Don’t set anchor to paragraph for the form controls, because the controls will move up and down with the paragraph or will be deleted when paragraph will be deleted. Set anchor to page instead.
.
Click in the controls, on the buttons → will work. Move by tabs from one field to the other will also work.
Best solution: Don’t create forms for a database, which expand to more than the screen would show. Create a second form, which could be started from your form, for all the other fields. Input for this fields shouldn’t be required by default, so you save the form by the button you press and the second form will only open for adding content to fields of the current row.
