Editing an embedded spreadsheet no longer works

Hi,
I have a couple of text documents with embedded (LibreOffice) spreadsheets.
In the past I could edit the spreadsheet simply by double clicking on it.
However, currently that no longer works: the area with the embedded file is treated like a picture.

The data is still there; when I manually decompress the file (or save as .fodt) I can see access the texts in the columns. However, changes aren’t reflected in the visible data.

Difficult. You neither give your version of LibreOffice nor your OS.
Did you have updates, or were the files created with the same version and on the same machine?
Saved as .odt?

At the current stage I would wait until more persons report this. Maybe they have/give more informations.

Could you share a file for inspection?

Sigh after updating to 25.2.3.2 the problem miraculously solved itself …
