I have a text box with text. I can animate it with a particular effect, say “appear”. Double clicking on that animation shows me the effect options box. Direction:In, Text Animation: word or letter by letter does nothing. Playing around with delay between characters or the timing tab changes nothing - it just appears all in one.The trigger is just set to animate as part of click.
Can you edit your question and attach a file displaying this behavior (or rather disbehavior)?

- Keep offending element and delete everything else.
- Test to confirm that problem persists.
- Upload to your question.
For one, the “Appear” option simply makes the object appear: there are no “Direction” options. You may want to correct your post if you have the problem with another animation effect.
