Encrypted Calc can't be reopened

A Calc sheet saved with GnuPG encryption can’t be reopened. I’ve outlined the steps I followed and included screen shots of the results.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a broken feature?

Calc version 6.4.7.2
Build 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.4
System info: CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.13; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

Steps performed:

  1. Created a GnuPG key.
  2. Save sheet using Save As and check Encrypt with GPG key.
  3. Select key from list and click Encrypt.
Now file displays in recent list as encrypted.
  4. Select encrypted file from recent list and enter password.
    System displays error message.

Password was entered at every prompt by pasting from clipboard to eliminate typographical errors as a possible cause for the observed behaviour.

Screen shots from above steps are here:

Works for me without any password. I encrypt a document with a key from my system’s key server and I can reload the document without any password because I own the private key.

Looks like you are using Ubuntu/GNOME. Kernel 5.13 tells me its 20.04. I’m using 20.04 (albeit with 5.16.9 for complex reasons) and I have no problems setting a key and using it with LO Calc. Works well and as expected. I am using LO 7.3, though:

Version: 7.3.1.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: a69ca51ded25f3eefd52d7bf9a5fad8c90b87951
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.16; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

I am using LO 7.3, though:

Upgrading to 7.3 solved the issue.
