Libre Office Calc and Writer show erratic/janky scroll behaviour. When scrolling down with the mouse the program itself scrolls up again and with scrolling up vica versa.
The same problem occurs in Firefox so I suspect it has to do with GTK toolkit.
I am using Libre Office 24.2.1.2 on Ubuntu 18.04.6
To further clarify the problem description: It is not that the mouse is scrolling in reverse direction. When scrolling the mouse wheel down the cursor goes down a bit but when I scroll further down the cursor is moving up again in a janky way.
Furthermore I just noticed that the problem also occurs in Thunderbird.
I have had that sort of erratic scrolling when the mouse scroll wheel contacts wore out. Verified by taking the mouse apart and inspecting closely
Check using a different mouse
The problem was indeed the mouse. I used a different mouse and the scrolling was okay. Thanks!
