Error on word file

i ve installed libreoffice and used writer, then tried to open a word file, then showed me an error message. after unistalled libreoffice the file now has 0 bytes , and show error, is there any chance to fix this error?

I have no idea why you had an error message, I guess we will never know what it said.

It is possible that the file crashed on opening and a temporary file was created in the location shown by the path in LibreOffice Options dialogue. You have already moved towards destroying any remnants by uninstalling; don’t make it worse by re-installing just yet.

If you are in Windows 10 or 11 then the temporary files are likely to be in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp, you might have to enable Show hidden files, folders and drives in File Explorer if not enabled.
Any temporary files are likely to be in a sub-folder beginning with lu, for example, lu19824gzuv.tmp.
Check that there are files of expected size in the folders then copy the folders to a new folder in Documents.
Install LibreOffice and open it. Click File > Open and navigate to the biggest file in the copied folder, select it and click Open. Save As a new file name.
