I am using Windows 10 - a just downloaded LibreOffice 7.0 and a just downloaded Java program. I am trying to connect to an existing Access 2010 accdb database. When it wants to save it I get the error : The connection to the data source “New Database15” could not be established. and below that : The connection could not be created. May be the necessary data provider is not installed. What can I do.

Have Win 10 only for testing and got the same result you did. You can get around this error by installing the 'Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable '. Link can be found in these bug reports → tdf#56904 & tdf#107360
Have just tested and once installed the connection was valid.
