Error when using Mailmerge email

I’m trying to send an email to multiple addressees from a Calc spreadsheet using Mailmerge. I’m following the instructions given at this website and the YouTube video referenced from it.

However when I try to send I get the error message shown in the attached image. Everything is identical to the illustration in the YouTube video. I’ve tried using different sender accounts, and different setting for authentication but the result is always the same.

What am I doing wrong?

Can't make email connection doing a Mail Merge in Writer

I think I’ve finally got reliable connection to Yahoo POP server (outbound.att.net, port 465). The usual error message when I did the test from Tools->Options->LibreOffice Writer->MailMerge Email was “starttls extension not supported by server”. I made 2 changes to the python code in Linux at /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/mailmerge.py. I am on Ubuntu 16.04, Libre version is 5.1.6.2. I have just solved the problem by reverting to an earlier version on LibreOffice. I was using the latest version, V24.2.1. I reverted to V7.6.5 and it still failed. I then went back to V7.5.9.2 and it works. Strangely enough I then upgraded back to V7.6.5 and it still worked
