My colleague uses Libre Office on a Windows Vista PC. He opened my Excel 2013 file in Calc and added a couple of records. Saved the file in Excel format and emailed it to me. When I open the spreadsheet, it reports a corruption in row two; column 243, which is not a populated cell in the spreadsheet. Without being able to know more about the corruption, I don’t know how to find and remove the corruption.
Was there something located at row 2 column 243 before? If, yes, what?
Which steps did your colleague take when saving the file? Which Excel format did he use?
If he saved in xls there is a chance that you get a problem with Excel 2013.
After receiving the file by email, did you first save the file to your hard disk before opening it?
How exactly did you open the file?
