As editor of a journal, authors send me texts in Word with automatic Endnotes. For editing and printing purposes, I need to make those endnotes NOT automatic. To do this, I copy ALL the endnotes as a group and place them in a new temporary document. I then place superscript note numbers in the text, and then combine the text and the temporary document. This works in Microsoft Word, but not in Libre Office. Does someone have a solution?
I see the problem, you cannot select more than one endnote at a time. The workaround that I can find is to print only the endnote pages to pdf, then copy the pdf text. It might be possible to print to a text only virtual printer.
