Exporting PDF - "Submit Format"

We have exported LO Writer files before (File/Export/PDF/PDF Options) and do not recall being asked to pick a Submit Format before. In fact, on my Mac, in LO 5 the Submit Format drop down menu is grayed out. On my girlfriend’s PC we both think it has been grayed out in the past but today it is not and we must choose a Submit Format.

I read something about Submit Format as having to do with forms, which we are not trying to create. We are exporting a PDF to publish a book on CreateSpace.

Why, all of a sudden are we seeing this Submit Form option and what should we do about it?

So what happened after you chose a format? Did you get what you wanted or expected?

Don’t know. We submitted the PDF to CreateSpace’s Internal Reviewer and it came back with an error having to do with a small image on a page that is not intended to bleed. The CreateSpace error may have nothing to do with what is happening in LibreOffice. Also, since I wrote my original post we copied my girlfriend’s file from her PC to my Mac. When I go through the same Export steps she did the Submit Format drop down menu remains grayed out unlike on her PC. It is puzzling.

Above the Submit format dropdown is a Create PDF form checkbox. If this checkbox is ticked the Submit format dropdown is enabled, otherwise if the checkbox is not ticked the Submit format dropdown is greyed out. You only need to have the Create PDF form checked if you are creating a Form. Your girlfriend has probably accidently set the Create PDF checkbox.

Thanks, but that’s not it. The Create PDF Form checkbox is not checked. In fact it’s grayed out.
