When I use the mouse to hover over the file name of the document in the area above the title bar (where categories for Applications, Places, System, and file name are listed) the file name is obscured by a miniature image of the page. Is there a way to eliminate the image so the file name can be seen? I use Ubuntu 22.04, and Libre Office Community 7.3.7.2.
Could you please elaborate more? Reopen your question (click on … below it, then on the “pencil” icon). Describe it more clearly.
What is the “workspace”? Is a a window of the file explorer? Is is the desktop area covering the “default” screen when you start your OS?
You tagged basic, hinting that you’re trying to implement some macro or program for a specific custom purpose. Is this the case? If not, remove the tag. There is nothing to qualify a question as “elementary” (this is highly subjective: one question may look “basic” to one and complex to someone else).
Mention OS name, LO version and eventually document save format.
I feel your question is about some behaviour of your OS and not LO-specific.
I reopened the question and provided the requested information. I await your response.
Sorry to bother you once again. Which desktop manager have you chosen? Unity, Gnome, another one?
I feel more and more that the issue is related to some feature of the desktop manager or file browser. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with Ubuntu and I use KDE Plasma desktop. Can you provide a screenshot?
I guess we are here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/shell-windows.html.en#working-with-workspaces
and he sees maybe a miniature screenshot or window-shot to place it on another “workspace”.
