Files blinking in Recent Documents and Templates area

I have a Windows 10 computer an a Linux Mint Cinnamon computer. Both have had this problem with my LibreOffice 25.2 office suite.
When I open LibreOffice, I’m looking at a host of files in the Recent Documents area since I use LibreOffice for both the Writer and Calc. Many times for the same job. When I go to move the mouse over the files, the files in the Recent Documents area start to blink extremely fast. So fast I can barely see them. The same thing happens for the Templates as well.

With the documents in Recent Documents I’ve tried clearing it out completely to start anew and that didn’t work. I’ve even uninstalled LibreOffice and installed it again and it didn’t work. I still have the same problem, the blinking of the files in the Recent Documents. Has anyone had this problem or at least heard of it? I’d appreciate the help. Thank you.

Please test in safe mode, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode

As I type this I have followed your suggestion and LibreOffice is in Safe Mode. My Recent Document area has a document and 2 spreadsheets in it, that’s it. As long as the mouse moves over a blank space away from the files, everything is fine. But as soon as the mouse moves over the files, it starts to blink again. This is with 3 files, even in Save Mode it’s acting the same way as it did in Regular Mode when Recent Document was full of files and there was no blank space at all, at that point I couldn’t click on a file because I couldn’t see it.

It might be a graphics problem. For the Windows 10 click Tools > Options > View and tick the box Force Skia software rendering, allow LibreOffice to restart. Has the problem gone away?

My Windows 10 LibreOffice works fine. But my Linux Mint Cinnamon 22.1 is still blinking, both the regular mode and the safe mode.
I don’t know if this means anything or not, but I have old icons of WPS in my office tray. I’ve been trying to get rid of it but for whatever reason I’m having difficulty. I thought I uninstalled WPS Office. Could that somehow have an effect on LibreOffice and this problem?

Does this help for the Linux machine, First steps to take before submitting a bug - The Document Foundation Wiki ?

Yes, the problem is gone. Though since I got LibreOffice via Flatpak, I had some extra typing to do on the terminal.

Yep, not very obvious. Don’t forget to delete this one too.
