Fill 2 using or more columns removes data from original

Create two columns of data.
Column one is date in format 01/29/2024.
Column two is value e.g. 85.3 (at least one decimal).
Select both columns and drag right to fill next two columns (columns 3 and 4).

Expected - columns are copied, values remain the same.
Actual - columns are copied but decimal is removed from both the new column (4 in the above example) and the original column (column 2).

I haven’t used Calc much and searched for answers without success so apologies if this is known and expected.

Try again, just hold down the Ctrl key before dragging.
