I’m trying to make the switch from Excel (2013) to Calc, however I’m finding the filter functionality to be quite different. On Excel, when you filter, it always seems quite straightforward to unfilter the worksheet, but on Calc, I often find it difficult to remove the filter, and if I can remove it, I often find that the worksheet has been permanently altered somehow (e.g. top several rows now missing; some other data not recalled). Is there a type of filtering that is just for data presentation, does not permanently alter the worksheet data and can always be removed?
