Find and Find & Replace in .ODG documents

I need to do a find and Replace search in an .ODG document, but when I try it only finds a few examples and then I get the msg. “Search Key Not Found” I know thre are many more instances of the word.

Is the word spelt the same?
If it is a phrase, is there an extra space or different sort of space such as non-breaking space?
If there is a paragraph or line break in the middle of the word then it won’t be found by LibreOffice
If the text is on a protected layer it won’t be replaced
If the text has been converted to curves it won’t be found

What version of the LO are you using?

Can you upload an ODF (.odg) type sample file here?

The words are all identical, not phrases, no breaks in the middle. Find & Replace just works fine for several finds and then, suddenly, begins giving me the msg. “Search Key Not Found” I know there are more examples of the word.

Version 24.8.2.1. The files are much too large to upload.

Delete some content from a COPY of your document, and then try upload it again.

(I suppose that your document contains the “text” in pixelgraphic format. The LO can not find that text like image parts.)

Still too large. I found a way around the problem by finding the incorrect word in the original PDF and correcting it in the ODG.

Coming from pdf the word might have contained a soft hyphen or a ligature

Thanks. I checked but I can’t find any soft hyphens (most of the words are one syllable) or any ligature.
