Find and Replace - Red background search string error

Playing with RegEx search strings, I often get the error ‘Search Key Not Found’.

The search string box has a red background which makes it difficult to read the search string.

Is there a way to change the background color?

Probably not. You could:

  • Select the search string, it will appear as white text on blue background. Or
  • Click the drop-down arrow to the right and read the unhighlighted string at the top of the list

Return to 24.2.

Thanks EarnestAI.

I was having trouble reading black text on a red background. I can see now how to get white text on a blue background, much clearer.

Thanks LeroyG.

If it gets unbearable, I’ll revert to version 24.2

It looks like a regression tdf#156227 Maybe you could report a regression bug How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki
