Folder and documents not visible in LibreOffice when opening/saving a document

Hello, I’m using Libreoffice 7.5 and 7.4 on a Linux Mint Cinnamon system and since I installed 7.5, when opening a document in Libreoffcie writer, the folder- and document names invisible.
When selecting and right-mouseclick on it the name is visible.
I changed cinnamon with a Gnome desktop but no difference. Also changes the Nvidia drivers for Xorg drivers but also no difference. When using another application like xournal++, everything is ok.
This behaviouroccurs only in Libreoffice applications.
Does anybody has a solution for this behaviour?

thank you

By chance, have you a dark theme? Have you configured Tools>Options, LibreOffice>General to use LO dialogs?

Thank you for your quick reply,

no, using standard theme. The content of the dialog window is not visible on the same machine with another desktop (Gnome)

Also no special configuration in the tools->option-> load/save

Post the exact version information from Help>About LO. Since you’re mentioning desktop manager, you may have a discrepancy between your desktop and the LO widget library.

My current version of LibreOffice is 7.4.2.3 but I had LO 7.5 installed before and had the same window.
When I right click on the green bar, change name, I can see the name of the folder/document.

It seems only to occur in LibreOffice. In Thunderbird it works like normal.

No, post the data from Help>About LO (there is a button to copy into the clipboard) because it shows extra information about VCL.

Version: 7.4.2.3 / LibreOffice Community

Build ID: 382eef1f22670f7f4118c8c2dd222ec7ad009daf

CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3

Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8); UI: nl-NL

Calc: threaded

OK. Your installation (gtk3) is consistent with your desktop. Then something else must be looked for (and I have no idea). Just to make sure: backup your user profile and restart in safe mode, eventually resetting the profile. If still the same, you can reload your user profile to recover your customisation.

Hello ajlittoz,

I removed the folder .config/libreoffice and did the trick.
Now, when I click on open, all folders and documents are visible.

Thank you for your quick reply and your help :+1:
