Footnotes keyboard shortcut

This is a very trivial question but:
there is a keyboard shortcut to add footnotes?
I’m trying to writing in Full-screen mode and I would like to avoid as much as possible the use of mouse, because is distracting and interrupts my work-flow which is based only on keyboard.

I read the manual but didn’t find a particular shortcut for this.

This shortcut is not set by default: Shortcut Keys for LibreOffice Writer - LibreOffice Help so you need to create your own customized shortcut:

1. Tools | Customize.
   
2. Keyboard tab.
   
3. In Shortcut window select keyboard shortcut combination you would like to have.
   
4. From Category window select Insert.
   
5. From Function window select Footnote/Endnote.
   
6. Click on Modify button.
   
7. Click on OK button to close dialog.
   
8. Execute keyboard shortcut you defined.

Actually after following the instructions the combination I chose does not work. I get either a space or a strange character.
