I have a calc table which is already formatted and there are url’s in it. Is it possible to include the calc table into writer, whith preserved link to the calc table, preserved table format and preserved url so that I can click in writer to open the url in the browser?
In your Writer document place cursor where you want the table. Click Insert > Object > OLE Object.... In the dialog that opens check the radio button “Create from File”, tick the box labelled “Link to file”, navigate to the spreadsheet file by clicking on the Search button, click Open, then click OK.
Size the object to suit. To access the links you will have to double-click the object after which you can Ctrl+click any of the links. Note: Export to PDF does not retain the links
