I use Libre Office Writer. I have a docx document.with all formatting removed because of a virus. Is there a way to format all the document at once
Not that I know of.
I would copy all the text and Edit > Paste Special > Paste unformatted text into a new document.
- Save as [NewFileName].odt (always work in native format)
- Select all (Ctrl+A) and press Ctrl+0. This will give all the text Body Text paragraph style
- Go through and apply Heading styles as required to the relevant paragraphs, Ctrl+1 for Heading 1, Ctrl+2 for Heading 2. When you run out of Ctrl+[number] you can double click the heading style (or other style) in the Sidebar in the Styles pane.
- Apply any character styles, Emphasis, Strong Emphasis, or special character styles that you create.
After that
- Is the font and font size for Body Text not right? Right click Default Paragraph Style in the Paragraph styles pane of Styles in the Sidebar, select Edit style and choose the appropriate font and font size. OK
- Is the font for headings not correct? Right click Heading in the Paragraph styles pane of Styles in the Sidebar, select Edit style and choose the appropriate font
- Are the font sizes not correct? Right click each Heading n style in the Paragraph styles pane of Styles in the Sidebar, select Edit style and choose the appropriate font size
