Formatting field: file name

When I insert the field file name in an Impress slide I get the full path.
When I right click to get the format dialog and select file name there is no change.

System: LO 3.5.4. on macosx 10.7.

Any help appreciated.

PS: it has been a number of month and still no work-around.
Perhaps this should be registered as a bug. This “feature” is
still there in 3.6.

(1) Menu Insert → Fields → File Name

The field shows the file name with path ("Path/File name").

(2) Double click on the field content → right-click context menu →
select "File name"

The field shows the file name without path ("File name").

Tested with LO 3.5.7, 3.6.4, 4.0.0 RC1 (on WinXP)

Hey @manj_k, Sorry if I seem a little daft here, but it looks like that’s all working as expected for you, right? So your response is a “No repro”/“Works for me”, right?

@qubit1 : Yep, that works for me. The same behavior with LO 3.3.4, AOO 3.4.1, and OOo 3.2.1.

I’m still not sure what problem you’re describing.

• How are you inserting a field file name into your presentation?
• When you right click and select the file name, there is no change to what?

What behavior were you expecting from LO when you performed these tasks?
