Forms and data extraction

I know that you can create forms of various varieties in Libreoffice:

• Writer forms (odt)
• Xml (forms)
• converted to pdf forms (pdf)

send them and get them returned
BUT I can’t find anything about how to extract data from any of them. Either:

• per form basis
• per folder option for a number them - I have a visual basic script for word forms which extracts
  all the data from a set of them in a specific folder and adds it to a single excel spreadsheet

I guess there must be something in libreoffice like this or at least someones script but I’ve found nothing!
Knowing how good Libreoffice is you probably just need to select an option somewhere?

Perhaps your VB script could be used as the basis for one macro for LibreOffice, or even to create an extension.
