I’ve just installed a fresh copy of 3.5 on Windows 7 HP 64 bit. I have already installed the latest 64bit Java already, but the program keeps crashing on start. I have no other ideas apart from reinstalling it from scratch.
I had the same problem, removing the folder
%AppData%\LibreOffice fixed it for me.
Thanks for the assist.
Also, one needs to install the 32bit JRE for LibreOffice to work too. This would be true until Oracle packages x86 binaries into the X64 installer.
that points out what LO would really need…get rid of JAVA pls
later we can talk about GUI, tablet and fancy…but first JAVA.
You are wrong. The Java Install can be used in LibreOffice:
Tools → Options → Java with load the Java app. Then click OK to close window.
I can’t upvote for karmic reasons, but two of the answers ( removing the folder %AppData%\LibreOffice and installing the 32 bit JRE ) were exactly what I needed to solve the same problem with my system. Thanks LifeWoutMilk & Seatux!
