From docx to odt breaks document

Hi,

I really wish i can switch to libreoffice, after many years and many documents with MS Office.
When I load a docx document in writer, it manages well to import the document.
If I make some changes and keep the docx format, it works globally well.
But if i save the doc into the native ODT format, the tricky documents completely lose the correct organization of the document, the place of the Text boxes, etc.
So i am unable to switch
Any idea, anyone ?

This question is better asked in LO bugtracker (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/). There you should describe the specific problems you see after conversion, and attach a sample document in original format (if required, you should replace sensitive information with some dummy text). Without that, there’s nothing to be done here.
