I am thinking about switching from a pc to a Mac. I’ve used libreoffoce for years and have a ton of documents in .odt format. I understand I can install libreoffice on the Mac. Will I be able to read my old documents? Thank you!
If they are really .odt, there is no problem. I even have .sxw documents (format predating *.odt) and I read them without difficulty. When I need to modify them, I take this opportunity to convert to .odt.
You didn’t mention your present LO version. 6.x or 7.x are totally compatible with 24.x provided there is not too much direct formatting.
Thank you so much! Sounds good. I’m not sure what I will have in the Mac. I have the latest on the pc but my docs go back a long time…!
