General input/output error when opening MS Publisher file

I just downloaded LibreOffice 5.0.4.2 on Mac OS X 10.9.5 in order to view and edit a large MS Publisher file.

When I attempt to open the .pub file, I get the message: “General Error. General input/output error.”

I am wondering if this error might be related to file size (205 MB).

Either way, how can I get past it to open the file?

I have installed LibreOffice 5.0.4.3 on Mac OS X 10.11.6 and after entering 6 digit pin I too got the General input/output error. How do I get past this? HELP!! I have had the app on phone for months and on laptop for longer and I can’t access my files.
