Generated Index is inheriting the chapter style

I write my chapters in all caps, however I want the chapters in the index have only the first letter uppercase, there is no way to achieve this but editing the chapters in the index one by one, The effects setting is ignored and all caps overrides any setting, only if I set lowecase in the index it is considered.

Don’t “write your chapters in all caps” - instead, for your heading styles, use “UPPERCASE” character effect. This keeps the actual text as you need, and shows it in uppercase just where you need.
