Safe mode displays correctly, but nothing seems to make a difference when I restart in full mode.
@mwfraser I presume you are on Windows. The operating system controls the text in the dialogs. You might be able to fix it with go to Control Panel > Fonts > Font Settings and clicking Restore default font settings.
If that doesn’t work then doing a Windows system restore back to when it was working should fix it.
Try to reset your LibreOffice user profile (rename it).

@Hagar_Delest this is almost certainly a Windows font issue. LibreOffice is the victim rather than the culprit. Any repair has to be to the operating system
