Graphs turned into numbered objects

Hi,
I wondered if someone can help me or at least explain to me how to prevent this same thing from happening again in the future. I’m writing a report and added graphs made in Calc. Today I opened my report, and suddenly all graphs had turned into these standard images with an object number. They also moved around. Nothing strange happened that I remember. I’m quite sure everything was saved closed as it should be.
Is there a quick fix, or do I have to add and adjust the graphs all over again?

Please be helpful: OS name and version, LO version, … How did you save your file, .odt or .doc(x)? I assume is a text document (into which you inserted calc graphs, as stated).

I’m sorry for taking so long to respond. I didn’t realise there was a comment.
Yes it is a .odt file with graphs from .ods files.
I use LO v: 6.0.3.2 (x64)
OS win 10 pro v 1803
I usually click the save button before closing the file, or click save when I get the question to save changes or not before closing. I have had to restore the document at some point because it wasn’t closed properly when my computer started an update, but if worked fine after that. Nothing like that happened this time
