In Persian (Farsi) language books, the gutter of the book is on the right side.
So it’s strange for me that why there is right gutter as a separate option in the LibreOffice settings, when the right option could have been added to the gutter position dropdown list?
Is this due to a mistake in the user interface design?
This gutter option has been introduced in a recent release (7.4.x ? I don’t remember exactly) but IMHO is not well implemented and probably not correctly designed. It is intended as a “simplification” (!) in managing the individual margins. Considering the numerous shortcomings I’ve discovered (one of them being the subject of tdf#150446 bug report), I’d recommend not to use the feature until it is clarified and settled.
Instead, leave the gutter at 0cm and play with left and right margins which become inner and outer when you set your layout to mirrored.
