Handshake Failure Installing LOEclipse Plugin

Attempting to install the LOEclipse plugin to develope extensions using Eclipse. However, I receive the following error from the marketplace:

Unable to read repository at http://eclipse-plugins.libreoffice.org/content.xml.
Received fatal alert: handshake_failure

… and how is this question related to LibreOffice usage, if the installation of a plugin into Eclipse IDE throws an error? From my perspective your problem is off-topic here.

I picked here as the extension’s docs state that it’s maintained by libreoffice.org and there’s already several ‘development’ tags that exist on this forum. Where would be a better place?

For sure this is true, but this Q&A site is about usage of LibreOffice suite (“users for users” here) and your question probably should be addressed to developers - see general information about developers communication channels: https://www.libreoffice.org/community/developers/ -

Ultimately reinstalling LibreOffice and the LibreOffice SDK fixed the issue.
