Hello.
LibreOffice CALC of version 5.3 also earlier very strongly hangs up.
Hangs up only if in the document there are data, if the document empty that there are no problems.
Hangs up when we change the sizes of cells, when scrolling on a mouse, when we drag the LibreOffice window on the screen. With version 5.2.7 it was also not older than such problems.
How to solve this problem?
Please test restarting on safe mode Men/Help/Restart in Safe Mode
