Help or Issues with the LibreOffice forum

I’m a new user of LibreOffice (on V5.1.6.2 on Win10) after many years using OpenOffice. I find the LibreOffice forum application a bit perplexing - it’s way different from any of the many others I’ve used. I suppose I’ll get used to it.

For example: Is there a way to ask a question about or discuss an issue with the forum? (Like I’m doing now?)

I’m guessing that tags are the way questions are grouped rather than having separate sections within the forum. Right?

If so, then using the “forum” tag would be the way to go? Just in case, I’ve used the “forum” tag for this question.

Is there some read-me or tutorial on the use and creation of tags?

Just noticed that when trying to post I am forced to include at least one of several tags. Most of the choices are clear but what are “common” and “meta” ?

I hope someone will answer in detail. I myself do not uinderstand the askbot well enough. I just wanted to state that the traditionally (and better) structured forum.openoffice.org/en also welcomes questions by LibO users. Of course, there may occur a misunderstanding now and then, in specific because the LibO development tampered with the UI (menu tree) a lot recently.

‘Meta’ is the correct tag to discuss anything other than the LibreOffice Suite itself. Have a look at the 1st post here for more info.
