Hit F2 and you get the references and referenced ranges highlighted.
Thanks for the replies. I don’t think “Detective” solves the problem I mentioned. I don’t think the formula box is as intuitive as in solutions such as Google Sheets.
In my opinion, simply by placing the cursor in a cell, the highlighting of formulas should be automatic. And when editing them, it should at least match parentheses, which is especially useful in nested functions.
I assumed that this would be an accepted and implemented feature in LibreOffice given the robustness of its development, but I suspect that it is not even in the short-term plans.
If I could help with its development, I would be willing to lend a hand.
