In my efforts to make the history range embrace all documents (which I succeeded in doing) I inadvertently changed the display of such documents to a black background. How do I fix this - what did I do wrong?
Please be more descriptive. As is, it is difficult to understand the starting point (what is the “history range”). The ending point is to restore white background but which? Application global theme? Document area? Specific paragraph?
And, as always, OS name, LO version and save format.
Do you mean set Recent documents to show all modules?
No idea. There used to be a big warning if you clicked Open Expert Configuration because the settings there are not protected the way they are in the GUI. It is possible to do serious damage to your installation in there.
It might have been better to wait until 25.2 came out for general release next week where there is a toggle in the Recent Document menu but don’t think that upgrading will fix it, it won’t.
These suggestions to put settings back to their defaults might not use the same steps in 25.2 so do not upgrade until fixed
- Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colours and, at the top right with heading Automatic set the drop-down to System Theme. OK
- Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and under Appearance set the Mode to System
- Click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Personalisation and click the radio button Default look, do not use Themes
If none of those work, please take a sceenshot of the problem.
