Not realizing that LibreOffice came bundled with my new OS named Zorin 15 Core, I installed a second version from their software repository. Now the start menu under Office shows “LiberOffice” (Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Writer), but also “LibreOffice 6.3” ((Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Math, Writer). The first looks to be a light version which I don’t need. I’d prefer to keep only LibreOffice 6.3. However, the light version seems to be invoked when I open a .docx file from my documents folder. How can I safely remove the light version?
Not familiar with your particular new OS but this sort of thing is usually controlled by the operating system. There should be an “uninstall” function somewhere in the OS settings. After uninstalling the apparent light version, it is possible that you will have to re-install the latest version of LO.
