sidebar > styles and format > check if the Default format has a black font >
- if not > change to black
- if yes > select the gray text > right click > clear direct formating
In the if-not case there is a chance that parts of your text are still gray. These parts I expect have a different format. Check if these formats for their font color and adjust.
