Does pinyin Chinese have many homophones?
Not as many as Japanese evidently (source). Assuming the question is asking about pinyin → logograph, is this a homophone? It would seem more a straight script synonym (transliteration) to me, although I admit you will have more experience in this area than me.
@oweng - it seems you know much more about pinyin Chinese than I. My question is indeed based on my knowledge of Japanese where, due very many homophones, auto-correction as in languages like English is not possible .I hope @eyka will give some more explanations.
I am not sure what you are trying to do. A clearer description would help. Do you want your pinyin converted to Chinese logographs? What type of pinyin input are you using? Information on pinyin input methods can be found at Pinyin Joe and at the Pinyinput Sourceforge project. Tell us more and we will try and help more.
