no matter what I do the address shows up about 5/8" to the right and below where I want it, and my printer can print edge to edge so why can’t i do this?

Once you have the inserted envelope, select the return address text box & right click. In the Frame dialog on the Type
tab you can change the Position
settings. My result (printed to PDF):

Insert Envelope from Menu Insert->Envelope
following dialogs for whatever initial settings you may have. Result is:
Select Return Address frame & right mouse click:
Click on properties to bring up Frame dialog:
Change Position
(on Type
tab) in bottom section to your liking, & select OK resulting in:
Thank you for your answer, but so far it has not worked for me. I am not at all skillful in using the writer (or any other part of LibreOffice). I can’t find any place where a right click does anything in th dialogs I have. Could you rephrase your answer as if you were writing an Answer for Dummies response, please – for about this I surely am a dummy. I’m using an old Officejet Pro 8600 which may make a difference.

Thanks for the update! I had a little trouble getting the block selected, but I think I’m good now – at least I was able to move the block! I’ll test it and see how things go, but it looks like you answered my question.
