How can I stop Libreoffice opening all my previous documents when I open one?

When I open a document, Libreoffice opens at least one of my previous documents in addition to the one I want to open. I didn’t ask it to do this, and I’d like it to stop.

Expected behaviour/What I would like to happen:

I open a single Libreoffice document, said document opens and nothing else.

Do you see a recovery dialog box when you try to open a document, implying crash when LibreOffice closed previously?

Does it happen after Restart of computer?

Try a more recent release and reset your LibreOffice user profile
